New this week

Wednesday is the drop.

The wall gets rebuilt every Wednesday morning. This is what we would put in your hands if you walked in today — and what we will hold behind the counter if you call.

  • Limit 2

    Marvel · #1

    The big number one

A first issue that will be hard to find by Friday. We ordered deep; it will still go.

    $4.99

  • Image · #12

The one everybody is talking about

Halfway through the arc and still the best-read book on the wall. Back issues are in the box.

    $3.99

  • Staff pick

    BOOM! Studios · #4

    The horror book

The one we hand people who say they do not read comics any more. It works every time.

    $4.99

  • Magic: The Gathering · 36 packs

    Play booster box

Sealed, in the case, and enough of them to draft with if you bring seven friends.

    $149.99

  • One per customer

    Pokémon · Latest set

    Elite Trainer Box

Allocation is tight everywhere. What we have is on the shelf, one per customer.

    $59.99

  • One only

In the case · CGC 9.6

    The graded key

First appearance, white pages, and priced under what the last one sold for.

    Ask

Ask us to hold anything on this rail. We will.

In the shop

Four walls and one long dig.

Everything is priced, sleeved, and where you would expect to find it. If it is not on the floor, ask — there is more in the back than there is room for out here.

  • 01

    New releases

The whole week's shipment, face out, from Wednesday morning.

Everything that came off the truck, on the wall where you can see the covers. Variants sit with their standard issues rather than behind the counter.

    • Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, BOOM!, IDW
    • Indies and one-shots
    • Variants at cover, not at flip price

Reserved copies come off the wall first — that is what a pull list is for.

  • 02

    Back issues

Long boxes you are allowed to lose an afternoon in.

Alphabetised, bagged, boarded and priced. Keys are up front in the case; everything else is out where you can dig through it.

    • Bronze, copper and modern
    • Runs kept together
    • Dollar boxes that are actually a dollar

Bring a want list. We will help you work it.

  • 03

    Trading cards

Sealed, singles and somewhere to play them.

Magic and Pokémon are the backbone — booster boxes and packs behind the counter, singles in binders you can pull from, and tables to sit down at when you have built something.

    • Magic: The Gathering
    • Pokémon
    • Singles, sealed and supplies

We are a Wizards Play Network store. Weeknight play is on the board.

  • 04

    Collectibles

Statues, figures, slabs and the odd thing nobody expects.

Graded books in the case, statues and figures on the shelves, and a rotating corner of things that came in with a collection and were too good to break up.

    • Graded and slabbed books
    • Statues, busts and figures
    • Vintage and oddities

If you collect something specific, tell us and we will watch for it.

  • 05

    Supplies

Bags, boards, boxes, sleeves and toploaders.

The unglamorous half of the hobby, in stock, so a collection stops degrading the day you decide to look after it.

    • Bags, boards and short boxes
    • Sleeves, deck boxes and binders
    • Toploaders and mag cases
  • 06

    We buy

Collections, single boxes to whole rooms.

Bring it in or send a photo. We will look at anything — comics, cards, statues, the box in the garage that has been there since 1994.

    • Cash or store credit
    • House calls for large collections
    • No obligation on a quote

Call ahead for anything that will not fit in a car.

The pull list

Never miss issue one again.

Tell us what you read. We pull it the morning it lands, put it in a box with your name on it, and hold it until you get here. That is the whole arrangement.

  1. 1

    Tell us the titles

A list, a photo of your shelf, a series you half remember — any of it works.

  2. 2

    We pull it Wednesday

Your books come off the shipment before they hit the wall, bagged and boarded.

  3. 3

    Collect when you can

The box waits. Miss a month and nothing bad happens to it.

No fee, no minimum, no contract.

The week

The tables stay full.

Standing games run every week and need no booking — turn up, sit down. Prereleases, signings and the big days are dated, and there is always one coming.

  1. Wednesday 10:00 New comic day Doors open, wall rebuilt
  2. Thursday 18:30 Magic — Commander Free, bring a deck
  3. Friday 19:00 Friday Night Magic $5 entry
  4. Saturday 13:00 Pokémon League Free, all ages
  5. Sunday 14:00 Trade day Bring a binder

Regulars

What people say on the way out.

  • I came in for one book and left ninety minutes later with a short box. Nobody rushed me and nobody hovered. That is the whole thing.

    Marcus digs the dollar boxes

  • My son had four dollars and they treated him like he had four hundred. We have been back every Wednesday since.

    Danielle Wednesdays, with the kid

  • Best Commander night in the Midlands and it is not close. Tables are actually big enough to play on.

    Ty Commander, Thursdays

  • They found a run I had been chasing for six years. Took them a week and they called me the day it came in.

The story

Out of Pat's, into here.

Undercover Comics opened on Halloween 2025, in Cedar Terrace on Garners Ferry Road. It is run by the people behind Pat's Comics and More, which is a way of saying nobody here is learning this on the job.

The idea was a shop that rewards walking in. A wall of new books you can actually see, long boxes priced to be bought rather than admired, cards for the people who play and for the people who collect, and enough table space that a Friday night does not end at nine because there is nowhere to sit.

If you are looking for something specific, ask. If you have a collection to move, bring it. If you are ten years old and have four dollars, we will find you something good.

  • Everything on the floor is priced. No 'make me an offer'.
  • We buy collections — single boxes to whole rooms.
  • Tables are free to use whether or not there is an event on.
